IS TAP WATER
SAFE?
The FDA and EPA
along with other federal and state agencies are
spending millions of dollars setting “safe”
level limits for microorganisms, disinfectants,
disinfectant by-products, organic and inorganic
chemicals, and radioactive particles in water.
Why? Because these contaminants exist in our
water supplies, and the list is growing daily.
Often the “safe”
levels are based on practicality, so waivers are
issued to prevent shut downs of public water
supplies.
We either filter
out these poisons prior to consumption, or we
force our bodies to become the filters.
Examples of the
health effects they list include:
-
Increased risk of cancer
-
Liver, kidney, central nervous system
problems
-
Circulatory system problems
-
Gastrointestinal illnesses
-
Legionnaire’s disease (a form of pneumonia)
The EPA lists 90
potential contaminants found in US water
supplies on their water web site (click READ
MORE below).
